During the movie “Swingers”, there’s a scene where an old couple starts singing to some hipsters. Well, believe it or not, that couple is still singing classic jazz tunes to the hipsters of today that stop by this favorite local joint. Marty and Elayne are the members of the iconic jazz duo and believe it or not, they’ve been playing their music at The Dresden for the past 35 years! If you want to see Marty and Elayne perform, they play Tuesday through Saturday from 9pm – 1:15am. Sunday and Monday nights there are other live performers. Whether you’re wanting to just sit back, relax and listen to some music or you’d like to grab a drink at the bar, stop by The Dresden Room for an unforgettable night.
The Dresden features a restaurant with an adjoining bar area that is attached. At the bar, you’ll find the live performers as well as standing tables or sitting tables to choose from when listening to the music. At the restaurant area, there are nice white, plush booths that are spacious for you and your friends. The dining room is open Monday – Saturday from 5pm – 1pm and on Sundays it’s open 5pm – 10pm. The bar service is open until 2am. Try the famous “Blood and Sand” cocktail, which the bar is known for. You’ll find the Dresden Room at 1760 North Vermont Ave in Hollywood.
