During the Holidays, Pershing Square in Downtown Los Angeles has a fun, outdoor skating rink for all to enjoy. Additionally, there are also special events throughout the holiday season. One such upcoming event is the Winter Holiday Festival scheduled to take place on December 9th and 10th. This is FREE event that can be enjoyed by the whole family. During this event, there will be 90 tons of fresh snow that will be used for sledding. Additionally, there will be rides, jumpers, a polar express train ride and a free photo with Santa! Food and craft booths will also be available. This free event will take place from 11am – 7pm. Mark your calendars today.
The 58th Annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration, held on December 24th, is a unique opportunity to celebrate the diversity of L.A. County. During the holiday celebration, a number of local artists as well as community groups will come together in order to showcase their artistry, traditions and talent. This year, performances will include a presentation by the LA Sheriff’s Department Band, the Palmdale High School Choral Union, the Harmonic Bronze Handbell Ensemble as wall as a special presentation of an excerpt from The Nutcracker by the City Ballet of L.A. among other performances.
