If you’re traveling to Los Angeles there’s a good chance that you’re here for a business trip or meeting. Here are some travel tips that you should keep in mind so that you can spend less time worrying about traveling and more time perfecting your presentation.
The first thing you want to remember is to avoid checking bags if possible. Especially if your business trip is just a few days, try to get everything into a carry on bag as you don’t want to risk anything getting lost that would be important for your businesses trip. Additionally, before you leave go over your itinerary. Do you have all necessary items for every part of the itinerary? If the answer is yes, you’re ready to go.
During your travels, another handy tip is to designate a special envelope that you keep with you throughout the trip to keep receipts in. Sometimes it can be stressful to try and keep track of all business expenses for an expense report your boss may be expecting. By keeping all receipts in one place, it’ll be easy to track expenses and hopefully get reimbursed
If you’re a light sleeper, is there something that always helps you fall asleep such as a comfy sweatshirt or pillow? If so, make sure you pack it with you. If it’s going to help you get a solid nights sleep before an important meetings, it’s worth the extra space it might take up in your suitcase. Another option is to download one of the many apps available on your phone or tablet to help you sleep. From calming noises to sleep meditations, there’s lots of options you can try that can help you fall asleep.
Finally, take advantage of your hotel amenities. From full gyms to swimming pools and jacuzzis, take advantage of what your hotel offers. Afterall, it doesn’t have to be business all day. If you have some off time, help get rid of stress by working out or simply relax by the pool. Depending on where you stay, look into other amenities offered by your hotel as well!
