When it comes to Los Angeles, there are so many different places to explore you might not know where to start. From what to see in little tokyo to which beaches to visit, there’s always options. Keep reading for a rough guide los angeles, especially if you have just 72 hours in the city of angels.

 

Day 1: Venice Beach, Abbott Kinney & Santa Monica

Two of the most popular beaches in Los Angeles are Venice and Santa Monica. The two are located close to each other and yet offer vastly different experiences. On the one hand, Venice offers an artsy, beach bum lifestyle with a boardwalk that is filled with street and art vendors selling crafts as well as souvenirs. You’ll find plenty of exciting street performers here, and also the outdoor muscle gym where Arnold Schwarzenegger used to work out! On the other hand, you’ll find Santa Monica, the iconic southern California beach with a world famous pier and oceanside amusement park. Be sure to also stop by Abbott Kinney, a local popular destination filled with designer boutiques and fantastic cuisine options.

 

Day 2: Hollywood Hills, Grand Central Market, OUE Skyspace

The Hollywood Hills is home to the iconic Hollywood sign as well as the famous Griffith Observatory. At the observatory, you’ll find stunning views of the city below as well as various trail heads that will take you close to the Hollywood Sign. After your hike, head downtown and stop at Grand Central Market where you can choose from a variety of some of the best eateries that LA has to offer. End the night by heading to the heart of downtown LA and go to OUE Skyspace, California’s tallest open air observation deck. From the top, you’ll be stunned by L.A.’s city lights.

 

Day 3: Universal Studios Hollywood

This world famous amusement park is also the only amusement park that features a fully working movie and television studio. Universal Studios brought you movies such as Jaws, the Fast and the Furious franchise and more. The park also features the Wizarding World of Harry Potter where you can peruse through the shops of Hogsmeade, grab a toy at Zonko’s Joke Shop and be sure to join Harry and his friends on the newest attraction, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.
