LAX airport guide

There’s nothing quite like a summer visit to l.a. The summer in Los Angeles means you’ll be getting perfect beach weather nearly every day as well fun events taking place throughout the city. However, before you get to have fun and explore the city, you need to make it through LAX. LAX is the 5th busiest airport in the entire world so be sure to read this LAX Airport guide to help navigate this busy airport.

The Los Angeles International Airport is the second largest airport in the U.S. and is also the only airport in the world that all three U.S. legacy carriers has chosen as a hub. These include American, Delta and United airlines. The airport has nine terminals with nearly 130 gates. With so many people flying in and out of the airport, travelling through it can be a bit of a hassle. When getting picked up from the airport, there are different options to consider including taxes and the more popular uber and lyft. If you choose these apps however, there are certain rules on where to find your driver at LAX so be sure to determine these before you call for your ride.

When it’s time to say goodbye to L.A. remember to get to the airport early. It’s recommended to arrive 2 hours before your boarding time for domestic travel and about 3 hours before your boarding time for international flights as security lines are notoriously long. While you can certainly take an Uber or Lyft to the airport, depending on where you’re coming from, it can be costly. FlyAway Shuttle is a cheap alternative that is about $8 to $10. The shuttles pick and drop off from every terminal as well as from Union Station, Hollywood, Van Nuys, Long Beach and other areas. For a cheap and reliable option, certainly consider FlyAway Shuttle.
