This summer is sure to be filled with adventure and excitement. Los Angeles has a number of exciting events for guests and locals alike to enjoy such as the all new micro amusement park that is set to come to downtown Los Angeles this summer. On June 15th, guests were finally able to see the premiere of the new DreamWorks Theatre at Universal Studios. To celebrate the opening of the theatre, guests can see the all new and original production of Kung Fu Panda: The Emperor’s Quest. The theatre will be replacing “Shrek 4-D” and in addition to the new studio, guests can say goodbye to 3D glasses used in Shrek. The theatre will now be using 180 degree projection mappings in the theatre and will be multi-sensory. There will be sound, wind and water effects and guests can expect the seats to move and swivel along with the action. The entire experience from walking into the theatre, enjoying the new decor and watching the animated movie will last approximately 10 minutes. You’ll definitely want to make time to watch this new short at the DreamWorks Theatre during your next trip to Universal Studios. Meanwhile, over at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, guests can enjoy the return of “The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle” for the summer months.
With the release of the second installment of the Jurassic World movie franchise just earlier this week, it’s fitting that the Jurassic Park attraction at Universal Studio will be getting an upgrade. The new attraction will now be called, Jurassic World and will be opening at Universal Studios in 2019. The all new attraction will allow guests to go on a journey where dinosaurs roam the earth in this part water ride and part dinosaur expedition adventure!
