Summertime Events in Downtown LA

With so many different cultures in los angeles, it means that locals and visitors can enjoy a wide range of foods, events, and experiences. The richness of LA is in part to all the cultures that call this city home. Check out some of these cultural events in downtown Los Angeles this summer.

626 Night Market

What started out as an Asian inspired night market that began 6 years ago is now one of the largest food events in the area. While perhaps the market’s biggest draw is the impressive food vendors, there is also a number of vendors featuring merchandise, music, games, arts and crafts and entertainment attractions. Be sure to come hungry and with your phone charged because these food items are all instagram worthy. If you’re interested though, hurry out as the last night market of the summer takes place on September 2nd.

BTS at the Staples Center

If you haven’t heard of BTS, it’s time to get caught up. Also known as the Bangtan Boys, BTS is a seven member K-Pop group from South Korea that is making major waves. In fact, this band is the first band in history from South Korea to debut an album at No. 1 on the US Billboard chart. The band also had a single at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, another first ever for a South Korean band. The band recently announced a world tour for their album, Love Yourself. BTS will be performing at the Staples Center for 4 nights – September 5, 6, 8 and 9. Get your tickets today.

Dance Downtown & DJ Nights

Located in Grand Park, the city offers a fun musical celebration that takes place every summer. Taking place alternating Friday nights from June through September, Dance Downtown features a fun opportunity to dance with locals and visitors in various musical genres. These include samba, line dancing, salsa, disco and more. There are also DJ nights where there is a life DJ spinning some of the best music. These events are FREE and take place from 9am to 11:59pm. Grand Park is located at 200 N. Grand Ave.
